Staffordshire Smart Alert – Free activities for children this summer
Plans are underway for the Staffordshire Commissioner’s SPACE Summer Programme 2026, which continues to provide a wide range of free and low-cost activities for young people across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.

Aims
The programme is aimed at children and young people aged 8 to 17 and brings together public, voluntary and private sector organisations to deliver positive activities during the school holidays, including sports, arts, crafts, and youth-focused sessions.
Summer 2025 Highlights
- 9,219 young people took part
- 2,429 activities were delivered
- 23,480 attendances recorded (equivalent to 46,988 hours of activity)
