This provides an opportunity for individuals, landowners, developers, and other interested parties to suggest sites that may be suitable for future development or alternative land use allocations.

The Call for Sites forms part of SMDC’s evidence-gathering work to support the preparation of the Local Plan. Sites are welcomed for a range of potential uses, including housing, employment, retail, community facilities, greenspace, and other appropriate land uses.

Key Information

  • The Call for Sites is now open, with a submission deadline of 2nd July 2026.
  • Submissions should be made directly to SMDC using the online form available on their website:
Site Suggestions – Staffordshire Moorlands District Council

  • All submissions should include sufficient detail to allow assessment, including site location (map), size, proposed use, and any known constraints.
  • For queries or assistance with the submission process, please contact the SMDC Planning Policy team.
